Happy Thanksgiving!

Last week I taught cookie and cake decorating at our Relief Society midweek meeting. I had some leftover icing and cookies and decided to use the extras to make turkeys for the neighbors.
Here I am working hard at making them.

I also practiced making other cookie decorations for Christmas. These were my examples to the class to help give them some ideas. A couple are a little broken because I tried to move them before they were totally dry.

Birthday party

So I am slow at posting events....

Dee had a birthday, Yea!!! Instead of cake he wanted brownie sundays with lots of ice cream. Mom was nice to let us use her house to have the whole family over...
...and Dee finally got his presents to open.

The pumpkins have been carved!

Halloween is upon us and the pumpkins we found at the patch were so fun to carve.
Dee's pumpkin is for Paul, our 6 year old nephew, who loves the aliens from Toy Story.

Visit to Oklahoma

We had so much fun visiting Carrie's sister, Becky, and her family in Oklahoma this last week. We were there to celebrate the first birthday of James. He was adopted in October last year.
We went to the pumpkin patch for the first time on a real farm, and had the country experience on a tractor pulled hay ride.
Dee had fun giving James a tour of the pumpkin patch. He had the best view of anyone there!
We couldn't decide which pumpkins to pick, there were so may options, but we finally settled on two.

We are certified to adopt!

We are excited to announce that we are certified to adopt.  Check out our profile at itsaboutlove.org . Today adoption is more open; many children are matched with their adoptive parents through networking.  So please let everyone know that we are searching for our little one.  If someone you know is considering placing a child for adoption, please let them they know they can contact us or LDS Family Services.  Our email is CarrieandDee@gmail.com; our LDS Family caseworker is Hannah at (602) 332-8523 or rawhouserhe@ldsfamilyservices.org.
